How to recreate the Data Source (DSN) used by the Auto Restoration Assistant | |

The Auto Restoration Assistant is designed to connect to a database using an ODBC Data Source configured in the Control Panel. The data source can be removed, configured, or added if needed. Perform the following steps to recreate DSN:1) Open the Control Panel in Windows and select Administrative Tools / Data Sources (ODBC). This will open the ODBC Data Source Administrator. 2) Select the System DSN tab. 3) Click the Add button. 4) In the "Create New Data Source" window select "Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) and click on the Finish button. 5) Type Restoration in the Data Source Name field. 6) Click on the Select button and choose the C:\Program Files\Restoration Assistant\Auto\Restore.mdb. Note: If installation is not licensed, then the database is named DEMO.MDB. Installation path may be different if custom install was choosen initially. 7) Click OK twice to save. | ||
