Download and Installation Instructions:
- Click on link below to download installation package. A prompt will appear asking whether to "Open" or "Save" the download.
- Select "Save" to save the download to the computer in order to install later
- Once download is complete, run the executable from the download location. This will open the WinRAR Self-Extractor. By default, the download package will extract in C:\Temp. Click on the Install button to begin the installation. Once the files have been extracted the Auto Restoration Assistant setup will begin automatically.
- When the License Agreement appears.
- Select I agree to the terms of the license agreement, and then click Continue.
- Click OK on the next prompt after selecting default program group or modifying
- Click on the large button with the computer icon to continue installation (see note)
Note: To accept the default Destination Folder for Auto Restoration Assistant, click large button, otherwise select another destination folder by clicking on the Change Directory button and follow the prompts.
- Click on Continue after choosing program group
- The file copy phase will now begin(see note).
Note: If the setup program detects a file on the system that is newer than what is being installed, a prompt will ask whether to replace or keep the existing file. Choose to keep the existing newer file to avoid conflicts with other software products. In addition to newer files, some files may be detected as being in use, click Ignore to continue with the installation.
- Click OK to finish installation

Starting Auto Restoration Assistant
To start the Auto Restoration Assistant, click Start, point to Programs, and
then click Auto Restoration Assistant. The first time Auto Restoration Assistant starts a data source is created to allow for database connectivity. At that point, restarting the program will be necessary.
How to create a desktop icon and disable sounds in Auto Restoration Assistant
Launch Auto Restoration Assistant using the above method. Once the program is running, a desktop icon can be created from the Program Configuration option on the Setup Menu. Click on the Create Shortcut button to create an icon to launch the program. There is also and option to disable sounds from the same menu.

- Where can I receive help for each module?
On the menu of each major module there is an option for help. The help files explain basic functionality of all modules.
- What do I do first?
On the menu of each major module there is a Module Setup button. Numerous drop down menus are used to input data into the Auto Restoration Assistant’s database. Drop down menus are utilized for items such as make, model, color, engine size, etc. It is recommended to configure these options to your personal interests prior to starting.
- How do I input my first project?
To add your first project, click on the Current Projects button on the Vehicle History Menu. This will launch the New Project Input Wizard. The wizard will prompt for some basic information needed to create a current project. A red * will indicate required fields. Once the project is added, additional information may be input in all other modules.

- How do I protect my data once entered in the database?
To protect your data from unforeseen computer crashes or other natural disasters, it is recommended creating a backup of your database on a regular basis. The Database Utilities option can be accessed from the Main Menu under Utilities. The Database Utilities option is useful performing database functions such as backup, restore, and compacting.
- How do I get in touch with Technical Support?

- How do I request future product enhancements?
Submit enhancement requests to enhancements@restorationassistant.com or use our web based submission from the Help | Contact Information | Submit Enhancement Request option on the Main Menu. Feasible requests may be incorporated into future builds of the product.
- How do I receive product updates?
Product updates are posted periodically on the Auto Restoration Assistant web site. From the Help | Check Web Site for Product Updates option in the Auto Restoration Assistant, product updates can be check by clicking on the link to the update site.
